Columbia Index #2 with Walnut Case

One of the exquisite index machines. Typing both upper and lower case via the circular index from the single typewheel. Metallic type slugs are in array around the typewheel. A scarce typewriter with a rare walnut case. Circa 1885.

Beginning around 1888, this company also produced the Barlock Typewriter, later called the Columbia Barlock and Royal Barlock Typewriter.
